KAMACOS, in partnership with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives, DGRV, UHPC, Cooperative Medical Center Kansanga, Kisiizi Hospital Health Cooperative, and Rwerere Health Cooperative, are organizing a one-day health cooperative dialogue in Kampala in commemoration of the 2025 Year of Cooperatives.
What is the symposium about?
Health Cooperative stakeholders including, KAMACOS, registered health cooperatives, Ministry of Trade, Industry and Cooperatives (MTIC), Ministry of Health (MoH), other players in health and Cooperatives will:
- Share knowledge and experiences in Achieving Universal Health Coverage which is a Contribution of Health Cooperatives in achieving the SDG 3.
- Dialogue on how to address the critical sector challenges including governance and sustainability.

Dr. Carlos Zarco Alonso, president of the International Health Cooperative Organization, Mr. Jose Perez, the Secretary General of the IHCO, and Mr. Andrew Allimadi, the In coordinator for cooperatives from UNDESA
Who can attend and how?
Key players in the Health Cooperative sector, including representatives from registered and active health cooperatives, MoH, MTIC and partners. Attendance is purely by invitation.
What can attendees expect?
Panel discussion moderated by experts in the sector and note address from the guests and leaders in the sector, program will be attached to the invitation letters.
